Vertical sack farming indeed offers a great advantage when it comes to space conservation. By growing plants vertically, you can maximize the use of limited space and increase crop yield per unit area. Compared to traditional farming methods, where crops are grown in rows on the ground, vertical sack farming allows for more efficient use of space, making it an ideal option for small-scale farming or urban gardening.
In addition to space conservation, vertical sack farming also offers other advantages such as easier maintenance, better pest control, and improved soil quality. Since plants are grown in bags filled with soil and manure, you can easily monitor and control the soil moisture and nutrient levels. This results in healthier plants with fewer pest problems and a reduced need for pesticides.
Vertical sack farming also provides better soil quality as the bags can be easily moved or rotated, preventing soil erosion and compaction. Additionally, the bags can be reused for several planting seasons, reducing the need for continuous soil replenishment or land clearing.
In vertical sack farming, weeds can be easily controlled as they are less likely to grow in the sacks compared to traditional farming methods. This is because the sacks are filled with soil that has been thoroughly cleaned and the sacks are kept off the ground, reducing the chances of weed seeds finding their way into the growing medium. This makes it easier for farmers to manage weed growth and prevent them from competing with the crops for nutrients and water
Application of Nutrients: Application of nutrients to crops becomes easier with vertical sack farming. Plants in vertical sack can enjoy their meal of compost tea without the usual harassment from competing weeds, they grow more healthier and yield great fruits. In organic farming, we have incorporated a series of nutrient supplements that can be produced from materials sourced locally for the plants.
Fast growth: Cucumber grows very fast, as a result it's a quick yielding crop vegetable farmers can explore. Growing them organically requires a lot of effort though but it's worthwhile...Deploying a vertical sack farming method reduces the heavy burden of weeding and space
Bamboo Staking: I deployed bamboo to stake my cucumber. I find it very cheat and easy to use.
Cucumber Fruits: Getting cucumber to fruit is an exciting pastime all cucumber farmers would love to see every day...but don't mess it up with poor pest management...Pests love the fruits as much as we do...it is as if their lives depends on it.
