Effective Neem Formula as Pesticides

Neem oil is a botanical pesticide derived from the seeds of the neem tree (Azadirachta indica) that has been used for centuries in traditional agriculture for pest control. It works by disrupting the hormones that regulate growth and reproduction in insects, making it an effective insecticide, fungicide, and miticide.

Here is a basic formula for preparing a neem oil solution for pest control:

Ingredients:

  • 100 ml of neem oil
  • 2-3 ml of a surfactant or soap
  • 1 liter of water

Instructions:

  1. Mix the neem oil and surfactant or soap in a container.
  2. Add water to the mixture and stir well to ensure that the oil and surfactant are fully dissolved.
  3. Transfer the solution to a spray bottle and shake well before each use.
  4. Spray the solution directly on the affected plants, covering both the tops and bottoms of the leaves.
  5. Repeat the application every 7-10 days, or as needed.

Note: Before using neem oil, it is important to test it on a small area of the plant to check for any adverse reactions. Additionally, it's best to apply neem oil in the evening or early morning to reduce the potential for leaf burn from the sun.
