The principles of permaculture include:
Observe and interact: Permaculture farmers begin by observing the natural systems and patterns that exist in their local environment, and then design agricultural systems that work with those patterns.
Catch and store energy: Permaculture farmers capture and store energy from the sun, wind, water, and other natural sources, and use it to power their agricultural systems.
Obtain a yield: Permaculture farmers aim to create productive systems that yield food, fiber, and other useful products, while also supporting biodiversity and ecological health.
Apply self-regulation and accept feedback: Permaculture farmers monitor their agricultural systems and make adjustments as needed, based on feedback from the natural environment.
Use and value renewable resources and services: Permaculture farmers prioritize the use of renewable resources, such as solar energy, and work to build soil fertility and other ecological services.
Produce no waste: Permaculture farmers aim to minimize waste and pollution by designing closed-loop systems that recycle nutrients and resources.
Design from patterns to details: Permaculture farmers use a design process that begins with observing and analyzing natural patterns, and then works to create functional, productive agricultural systems based on those patterns.
Integrate rather than segregate: Permaculture farmers aim to create integrated agricultural systems that work together to support each other, rather than isolating individual elements.
Use small and slow solutions: Permaculture farmers prioritize small-scale, locally appropriate solutions that can be implemented gradually over time.
Use and value diversity: Permaculture farmers work to create diverse agricultural systems that support biodiversity and resilience.

Marketing Your Produce
Permaculture produce can be marketed a bit differently than conventional agriculture because of its focus on sustainability and community. Here are a few steps to marketing your permaculture produce: Identify your target audience Identify your target audience: the first step in marketing your produce is to identify your target audience. You may want to focus on selling to local farmers markets, restaurants, or directly to consumers. Knowing your target demographics will help you to tailor your marketing efforts to effectively reach them. Establish a brand: Create a brand that reflects your permaculture philosophy and values. Consider creating a logo, website, and social media accounts to increase awareness of your produce. Tell your story: introduce your permaculture history and how you got started with permaculture-infused agriculture. Doing so will help your customers understand the unique benefits of permaculture farming and why it is important to support local farmers who use this sustainable method. Offer unique products: Consider offering unique and diverse products that you may not find in traditional grocery stores or markets. For example, sell heirloom varieties of fruits and vegetables, or offer unique value-added products such as homemade jams, pickles, or fermented foods. Interact with the community: consider hosting community outreach events, such as workshops and tours, to educate people about permaculture farming and its benefits. By doing so, you can build a fixed clientele that will support your permaculture farming efforts. Collaborate with other local farmers: working with local farmers who practice sustainable farming practices can increase your product variety and reach a wider audience; you can offer CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) programs or collaborate on marketing efforts; and you can offer a variety of products that are available for sale in your local area. The key to selling permaculture produce is to build a brand that reflects permaculture philosophies and values, offer unique products, and work with the community to build a loyal customer base.
Permaculture is a holistic approach to agriculture that emphasizes the interconnectedness of all living things and the importance of building healthy, sustainable ecosystems. It can be adapted to a wide range of agricultural settings, from small-scale backyard gardens to large-scale farms and land management systems.
